🛰️ Roman Space Telescope Launch Window Opens

The launch window for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope opens today.

Once conditions are perfect, she’’ll be headed to L2, the gravitational sweet spot about a million miles from Earth where the James Webb telescope already operates, Roman will survey the sky with a field of view 100 times wider than Hubble's. Its primary science targets include dark energy, exoplanet atmospheres, and the large-scale structure of the universe.

Even though Roman the woman is gone, we still get to say Roman is out there doing incredible research.

This one has been a long time coming.
